Porygon 2?

This pokemon is very similar to dugtrio except IMO much better, with trace it makes this the ultimate counter for gyarados and mence, it can swith into a +1 outrage, survive, sometimes take another hit and then ice beam. Similar story for Gyara, this is very important because they have a place in almost every team

UU for the obvious fact that it is a normal type emaning physical atatcks can ahrm it pretty much. With not many STABBING options its not versatikle and with PORYGON Z it is udnermined. Its low stats dont help.

i have both of those 2 pokes every time in my team even when im battling ubers they should both adlist be BL if not OU

with what you said about normal typing i object, normal typing only has one weakness and is immune to ghost. I take it that you don't use blissey? It will get OHKO'ed by any pokemon with a decent physical figting move, stabbed or not. It may not have many STAB options but with that said tri-blast is very versatile because not overly many pokemon can resist it which makes it versatile. I will be the first to admit that the stats aren't the best. Trace is a very usedul ability especially on salamence and gyarados. It can take out all the dragons besides kingdra and it is a great water counter, trace also makes it very hard for vaporeon and jolteon to counter as they can't use their STAB moves on it. It can also carry recover and toxic allowing it to stall alot of pokemon.

Jolteon and vaporeon are OU plus they only defest a selectf ew pokemon. With most teams ahving a physical fighhter and a pokemont hat can sleep porygon 2 its quite useless.

who voted for UBER? ok.... if salamence etc. aren't Uber i doubt porygon 2 will be getting there any time soon

Theres also a nother reason why Porygon is UU. Its a NFE pokemon meaning that it is weak compared to its evolution. Tiers are done in thsi forum by these 3 main things:
1. Stats
2. Movepool
3. Usage

Now Usage and Stats arent satisfied because if theres a higher evolved porygon it wotn be sued and itll have higher stats. Therefore the ruling for this pokemon will be UU almost certainly.

i only have one problem with what you said, the useage factor also relies on what it is used for. At the moment pokemon like gyarados, salamence and heatran are very very popular and not many pokemon can counter all. With the abusive use of those two pokemon and the fact that its normal typing gives it only one weakness it can find a space in most teams and remove their weaknesses against gyarados and salamence.

I don't think that this topic is going anywhere so we might as well close it and leave pory2 in UU but i will always have a place in my heart and team.
